Why I Avoid Kohl's

Kohl's Has a Death Grip on My Wallet.  I make rash decisions at Kohl's.  Somehow I manage to contain myself at other places (the mall, Target, the Wal-Marts, Macey's Grocery Store, ebay.com).  Kohl's, however, has some weird pull that I can't escape.  My logic:  If the sale ends tomorrow I have to buy it now because it might be gone the next time I come back..or worse: more expensive.  If I don't like it I can bring it back but right now is not the time to make that decision.  Right now is the time to buy.
Exhibits A-M of the afore-mentioned logic:

I've worn this 4 times:

 I've never worn this:

Okay....I wear these all the time

Sensible?  I think not!

Everyday wear? Puh-lease!

Don't get me wrong...I love my purchases but there is just a little part of me that says, "you aren't high-class enough for this.  What you really want is to run around in your unmentionables."
And then I realize that it's true and that when I'm buying to save I'm not actually saving...it's the perfect ploy.  And Kohl's pulls it off like a pro.  And that is why I try and stay away from Kohl's.

One of the awesome things about San Francisco is its thrift stores. Not stores like Goodwill, which don't have in mind a certain demographic, but super awesome thrift stores which recycle the clothing of young people who dress in certain ways. I mostly shop second hand now because of it! It's also better for the environment to recycle local clothes :)
