School

I just started school
It was really cool
I can't wait to take hard exams
But I'll sit and wait
'Till the right time and date
And I'll go to the slaughter like lambs

A Slight Explosion

So... at work we bake our own bread. It comes to us in frozen LOGS (for lack of a better word). Like this:

However, our freezer decided to die. And it became rather warm for a freezer...and the bread started to rise. And it got HUGE...can you imagine a whole box of bread rising all together? No? Well I will show you then. Looky here
Needless to say, our bread supply was greatly diminished for a few days

The Sleeve Lady

Recently I went to my Bri and Will's college graduation. Did you know that in order for things to run smoothly they have a lady that stands at the stairs and makes sure people's sleeves don't get caught on the railing? What a boring job...and I bet she didn't even get paid for it. Here she is, the most-tedious-job-in-the-world-lady: (and sorry for the blur, but for such a tedious job, she was quite fast and hard to capture)

The New and Improved...ME!

This is what I looked like (please ignore the cheesy grins...sometimes I can't help myself):

This is me now:

And I know the rest of the world may not feel the same way, but dont' you think my hair is way shorter? And another thing- I got highlights in my hair but you can't hardly see them...so much for photography, eh?

There She Goes

My best friend in the world. The other half of History our Sistery. Well- she up and left me today for Arizona. The hardest goodbye of my life.

Goodbye, good luck. I love you

Hmm...

This is my boss, or rather, was my boss. He is gone now and to thank him, my friend and I made him the greatest shirt ever. Here- take a gander

Don't worry...better post later, I am just not ready to post it...too fresh

Frustration up the Wazoo

Okay...I just opened a new account at a local bank. It was great and easy. Then I tried to go online to transfer some money from my old bank to my new one...I didn't think it could be that difficult. Oh how wrong I was. So I get to the new bank's site...and I try and login with the information I was given. Not to be so. I had to first set up a personal something-or-other and then login with the information I had. Ok. Well, unfortunately my helper must have had dislexia because he told me my current password was all upper case...but it was all lower case. Took me like ten tries to figure that one out. Well- at least I was in! So...the site "encourages" me to set up a new user name and password..no big deal? WRONG! BIG DEAL! It won't accept anything I do...so I figure I must be reading the instructions wrong. Nope. I did exactly what they said. My username and password have enough characters and such....nothing wrong on my part. So here I am stuck without any way to put money into my new account unless I drive to my old bank, take out money, drive to my new bank, and have the money put in. And I really, really don't have that kind of time. Any volunteers?

Cha Cha Cha

Hello. I have come across something in my recent days. It is very cool. It is called ChaCha. It answers all of your burning questions and I am NOT KIDDING. Seriously. No joke. Simply text a question to 242242 and wait a few minutes. Then, KaBam! You get a reply that answers your burning question. Have you been waiting your whole life to find out why bird's beaks are orange? Who invented the toilet? Why is dirt brown? Well howdy-doo! Just ask ChaCha and you will never have unanswered questions again! Tell me your question and what your answer was!

Camera

This is it:

We have been inseperable for almost a year now. I liked it at the beginning. Then I started reading this blog and she talked a lot about photography. I was inspired to try and take better pictures, but I couldn't get my shots to look like hers. So, I gave in (finally) and went back to the manual (how humbling). I read it...and it was good for nothing. My hatred for manuals was justified! HA! Then...upon further investigation, in the corner in slightly smaller print (okay, okay it was right in the middle of the page and BOLDED no less..once again humbling) were the words: visit www.kodak.com/go/c763support for the extended user guide. I did. WOWWIE! I love it there! Did you know that if you actually push the menu button on your camera there are options? Who knew? So...now I am figuring out my camera. It has different lighting settings, ISO settings, Shutter speeds and lots more. I still don't know what I am really talking about, but boy is it fun! Wanna see some of my pictures? Okay then, here we go!

First of all, I am not saying I like these photos. They just illustrate my point nicely. Second of all, if you happen to know anything about cameras and photography and I happen to say something wrong, just keep your mouth shut. I am proud of my knowledge thank you very much. Now...as I was saying, I am learning a lot about photography and continue to learn more. Here for example I simply changed the shutter speed. The lighter one had a slower shutter speed which allowed more light to enter. I prefer the darker one to the light one. I think it adds drama.

And one more example for good measure. Once again, I just changed the shutter speed. I think the second is better. It eliminates most of the glare and adds drama. So...if you aren't into photography but want better pictures, the most simple thing I can suggest would be to experiment with the shutter speed. It can make a huge difference!
So...back to the camera. I said I liked it at the beginning, now I LOVE it! If I had limitless money I would buy myself a nice SLR camera like this one. But for now, I am definitly okay with what I have! Also: with limitless money I would buy Adobe Photoshop and a new car and some jeans and a nice Steinway piano (a grand of course).
That is all. Over and out.

Figuratively speaking of course. I babysit them. I have since I was 12. Since they were born. They love me just as much as I love them...and boy are they fun!

A Sad Day

Well, tonight at work I accidently threw my pen away.....I would have gotten it back out of the trash but it was covered in curry. I was so sad I wanted to hold a funeral. It was a good pen to me. It never gave out and it never hid from me in my purse. It was white on the ends with a blue middle. It had words on it, but I never actually took time to read the words. How does one become so attached to such an inanimate object? When I had to count money tonight, I felt an ache in my heart when I had to use a generic work pen. There will always be a special place in my heart for this pen, yea, even a place of love. Thank you Pen. You were good to me and I will never forget you. Your services will be missed greatly.

Lagoon...a Place of Ponderance

We (my family and I) went to Lagoon last week. We had so much fun! It was cookin' outside and I got myself a nice little tan as a souvenir. We went on lots of rides and took lots of pictures. We ate lots of food (yea, even some who ate sandwiches in the amount of 3.5). But despite all the fun we had,

It was more, to us, a place to think of the deep things of the universe. Who we are, where we came from, what we want out of our lives, and other deep questions.
